About Me

I fell in love with Jackson Hole when first introduced to the area by the Butcher family. When I decided to spend the summer of '11 out here in JH, a former Pingry athlete, Katie Occhipinti, suggested I blog the adventure. I had no idea what a blog was but Katie O set the whole thing up and got me on my way. Last summer was a tremendous experience. The blog details all the great fun I shared with friends from June '11 - Oct. '11. Even before I left to head back to SRQ, I knew I wanted more of JH. I am now back in JH for "Adventure Summer Round Two!" Many friends have encouraged me to continue the blog this summer ...... so here we go! I arrived to town on June 12th and immediately felt at home. I am looking forward to another summer of hiking, biking and visits from friends. I once again look forward to sharing this experience with all of my friends who have planned to visit me out here. I also look forward to sharing the experience with my friends who follow this blog. Enjoy the pictures and the adventure. Happy summer to everyone!

The San Diego Girls Arrive

My friend Kate Murphy and her friends were scheduled to arrive on Thursday night at 9:15 but had major airline delays.  After a crazy travel afternoon and evening, they finally arrived at the house at 2:30am on Friday morning.  I have no pictures of their arrival because by the time they finally arrived I was in a sleeping haze.

After just a bit of sleep, the San Diego girls headed to Yellowstone to spend the day and I had an office shift of 1:00pm to 7:45pm.  The weather has turned for good here in Jackson Hole, so the days are simply beautiful.  The San Diego Girls and I hooked back up after my office shift and we headed to town to grab some dinner and catch up.  We ate at the Snake River Brewery (a local favorite with raft guides) and enjoyed much laughter and silliness.

After dinner we headed out on the town for a big night of fun at Albertson's.....did not know you could have such fun buying groceries.  It is always fun to catch up with old friends and to meet new friends.

Albertson's will never quite be the same!

Today (Saturday) is a beautiful day and we are off to Teton Village to take the tram to the top of the Tetons to do some hiking!
