About Me

I fell in love with Jackson Hole when first introduced to the area by the Butcher family. When I decided to spend the summer of '11 out here in JH, a former Pingry athlete, Katie Occhipinti, suggested I blog the adventure. I had no idea what a blog was but Katie O set the whole thing up and got me on my way. Last summer was a tremendous experience. The blog details all the great fun I shared with friends from June '11 - Oct. '11. Even before I left to head back to SRQ, I knew I wanted more of JH. I am now back in JH for "Adventure Summer Round Two!" Many friends have encouraged me to continue the blog this summer ...... so here we go! I arrived to town on June 12th and immediately felt at home. I am looking forward to another summer of hiking, biking and visits from friends. I once again look forward to sharing this experience with all of my friends who have planned to visit me out here. I also look forward to sharing the experience with my friends who follow this blog. Enjoy the pictures and the adventure. Happy summer to everyone!

Simply Awesome

Traffic on my street.
On Saturday night I headed into town to listen to the music of the Jackson Hole 6 at the Silver Dollar Saloon.  Imagine my surprise when i left my driveway and found the buffalo taking a stroll down the street.  After carefully driving by the buffalo as not to cause a charge, I made it to town to hear the music.  The tennis folks did not tell me what type of music to expect and I had to laugh when I walked in the door and heard the bad playing "Mardi Gras Mambo".  The Jackson Hole 6 are a New Orleans style jazz bad.  It was a good night out.

The "Adventure" has been great.....the "Adventure" got even better when Sunday's weather rolled in and it was perfect.  A beautiful sunny day.  Not a cloud in the sky.  A high of 75 degrees with not a drop of humidity.  Started the day off with a great workout at JHHF.
I have not adjusted to the altitude change yet and my workouts are kicking me hard.  The positive aspect is that because the altitude makes the workout tougher, more calories are being burned.  I found myself saying "more calories burned, beautiful day, time for a cold one."  I knew of a little place with a great feel and an even better view.
So I enjoyed a few cold ones on the patio at Dornans.
The patio at Dornans located at Moose Junction

Great carbs after a tough workout!
